Caregiving at End of Life

The act of caregiving in general can be very difficult.  Caregiving at end of life is extremely difficult.  For many caregivers it can unexpectedly stir up emotions that were never felt before.

Through caregiving, the focus is always on the person who is being cared for and the caregiver puts themselves and their feelings on a back burner.  When the end of life arrives caregivers will often struggle with many feelings they may have had for the one being cared for from years ago. Contributor, Dr. Dan Gottlieb says that as caregivers, we must find compassion not only for the person who is at the end of life but also compassion for ourselves.  He’s shares a very touching story of when his own Mom passed. As always his words will support and inspire.
